Since Sunday will be the only day I have off this week. I will be locking myself in the basement. I have been waiting to start this kit for some time now. As far as I know this kit is not available in the states. The only way to get this kit is to order it from thepartsbox.com out of Australia......so here are some before the resin flies photos.....

This should be a cool one, are you gonna go with the suggested paint scheme, or go full-on blacked-out Mad Max with it?

This one will be done in the paint scheme on the box....it comes with the decals for it, that were on it in the movie.

I want to do the black one as well but need to do a little research first..

cool, will be fun painting all those stripes. liked them in the movie. wasn't there a black one that Max was chasing that crashed into the wrecked semi ?

So I got to get a little time in on the XB

This is my first all resin kit so I am trying to feel my way around with it, so I am starting with the body.

So I am using my hobby knife, a dremel with a cut off wheel and sanding drum and my respirator.

Next I shot the body with some primer. For me it makes it easier to see the imperfections.

well that is as far as I got so until next time....

I think it is a great way to see imperfections, too. I have tried to do it before, but, I always find more after the primer, so, I think i will do as you did, just prime, then find.

I hope you soaked the body and other resin parts in some "Westley's Bleach White" to remove any mold release residue.

I feel extremely lucky, my eyesight is good enough still that I can spot everything but the tiniest flaws without primer. I can see my fingerprints with my fingers less than an inch from my eyeball, but everything 5 feet away from me is just a blob of color...a trade-off I'll take all day long!
