Just wait, it'll get even better, I promise! This will be my 2nd real wood bed, and I'm going to do an even better job than my first try, which came out incredibly good....even though I had no clue what I was doing!

I've got some small C-channel I picked up at the LHS. It's from Plastistruct, I couldn't tell you the size because it comes loose in their little spinner display, but it's perfect for this!

I'm back, and I bring progress! I know, what's up with that? Well, I'm on call this week, and it's been quiet today, so i got some bench time in! I got to work on the bed floor, and it's just about completed, I'm just waiting on the glue to dry...and locate my wood stain somewhere around here...and I can call it done!
First up, the hinge for the bed cover is done, it just needs to be glued down at this point....
I started in on the bed floor by cutting my Basswood into strips and getting the retaining straps cut to length...
The mock-up, wooden strip, a strap, etc, etc. All tis just to make sure I've got a good fit before I use any glue.
