Oops, I forgot these three pics! This shows the tailgate, it pivots on two straight pins, and a good shot of the new bed floor in place, enjoy!

Hey Brother,,,, are you sure yer not a " Shrink" or something of that caliber????,,, cause you sure do have THE MOST PATIENCE I have ever witnessed when it comes to dealing with styrene problems. I am totally awed with this build . Only hope I can come close sometime soon on 1 of my own 1 day. Keep up the KILLER work ,& waiting to see it completed. GOD BLESS

Thanks for the praise Gary, but it's not patience that gets me through a problem, it's an absolute refusal to let a piece of plastic beat me!
And I'm no shrink, but I am certifiably insane!

I got a bit of bench time in tonight, and I made the best of it. I capped off the back side of the bed cover with some half-round strip, blended it in and called it good. Then I glued the tubes for the hinge onto the underside of the bed cover, now it's all ready for primer. I added a prop-rod and hook for holding the cover up while I was at it, and it actually works the way my twisted mind envisioned it, who would have thunk it?
I think I've figured out the tail lights, let me know what you think of 'em...a set of 69 Camaro tail lights mounted vertically on the sides of the bed. It's held on with some clear tape doubled up, when it's installed, it'll be glued directly to the bed.
