thanks bud
onto the chassis, like i said, nothing extravagant going on in this build
i primed it when i did the body, now i just want to add contrasting colors then i will fog the gold/yellow along the edges to give it the factory sprayed look
out comes the masking tape so i can do the frame
used a toothpick to push down the edges, and a hobby blade to trim the excess to prep it for paint
think a steel frame will work for now
2 light coats
off comes the mask
now that can dry and i will decide how i want to detail it up a bit later
cya in a few

Masking is so tedious, I have such a hard time doing it.
This looks good, the steel works well.
I found that I can get a really good grunge metal look from the gun metal paint at walmart, if I paint over flat black, but, it looks much closer to the steel you would see if you ground of the paint when I put it over a gloss black.

I have to say, though, you did do a great job taping it off. I may have to try this later. When do you pull the tape off? That has always been an issue for me, seems to grab and pull.

i have no patience lol. i pull tape on everything as soon as i am done spraying. i find when i wait for the paint to dry before peeling it tends to rip the edges of the paint and not give a clean line
